Toilet Training
Toilet Training
Toilet Training can be a challenge for parents of typical children. A variety of factors can contribute to delayed or dysfunctional toileting in a child. Many day care facilities and schools will not serve a child who is 3 years old or older if they are not toilet trained.
There are a variety of materials available on toilet training. Our goal is to achieve successful potty usage by your child consistently. We focus on positive interventions in order to make the entire process as pleasant for everyone as possible. We review the medical, developmental and behavioral causes for delayed toilet training. In cases where there is the possibility of medical factors contributing to the toileting issue we make appropriate referrals. We strive to be informative for both parents and professionals who work with children with toileting issues. Successful intervention strategies, with research support, are our focus.
