F.A.Q.

Will my insurance cover ABA therapy?

Each insurance plan is different and must be thoroughly evaluated to determine whether or not coverage for Applied Behavior Analysis is provided. Georgia passed a law several years ago (Senate Bill 118) that amends Ava’s Law and increased the mandated amount of coverage for ABA to include up to $35,000 per year and for those up to 20 years old. However, not all insurance is covered by the law mandating ABA coverage in Georgia. Our staff is happy to navigate the insurance process and provide you with specific information on your plan’s benefits & eligibility.

Are you in-network with any insurance companies?

We are a contracted in-network provider for many insurance companies and we accept most insurances.

Are you approved with Tricare?

Yes, Absolutely. Dr. Montgomery has been a dedicated TriCare provider for over 20 years and we continue to happily serve the families of our service personnel through TriCare.

Can I just make a co-pay like I do at the doctor’s office?

All clients of insurance companies we work with will need to pay any co-pays and co-insurance required by your plan. We will guide the process to make sure it’s easy and straightforward.

During the admissions process, we’ll provide a fee schedule with an estimate of your expected out-of-pocket expense for ABA therapy. Our experience working with insurance companies will give you an advantage in understanding up front what to expect with your deductible, maximum out-of-pocket expense, and co-pays.

If our insurance does not cover ABA, do you accept other funding sources?

There are several grants and scholarships available for children diagnosed with Autism who are not covered by insurance (see our page at grants-and-resources). In addition to the insurers above, we offer Private Pay services. Please contact us for more information regarding our intake packet and rates.

What Our Families are Saying

"Please accept this note as our sincere appreciation to the both of you for the time you spent with us and our son recently with regard to his diagnostic evaluation. Throughout the process, we were very pleased with your thoroughness, willingness to answer our questions, and ability to direct us to appropriate resources. In addition, you were able to provide a comfortable, non-threatening environment for our son, enabling you to observe him without anxiety on his part - for that we are very thankful!"

Mother of 9 a Year Old, Metro Atlanta

"I can highly recommend Dr. Robert Montgomery who is not only a licensed psychologist but also a BCBA. He and his wife did a thorough evaluation that helped us get great services at school. The eval. was covered by my insurance and medicaid. I paid for him to come to my daughter's eligibility meeting and it was worth every penny and then some. His company is located in Woodstock and is called Reinforcement Unlimited, LLC."
