Aspergers Clinic:
Tutorial Service

Our staff have unique qualifications for working with students with Aspergers Syndrome.  Each of our tutors has training beyond their original training as a teacher.  We support our tutors in a variety of areas related to Aspergers and social skills that gives them an advantage in working with your child.  Students with Aspergers Syndrome often have difficulties in one or more academic areas that extend beyond merely social issues or a manifestation of their Aspergers "quirkiness".  When there is an issue with an academic area we can provide tutoring by trained teachers to support your child's progress in school.

Individual attention is often critical for a student to gain true comprehension of the subject matter.  When individual attention is essential our tutors provide that one-on-one support and instruction.  We also know that for students with Aspergers Syndrome the social issues can be a very real and ongoing concern.  Our tutorial sessions can be individual or small group.  Small group tutorials provide the natural opportunity for students to work both on academic content and social skills.

Beyond providing direct support through tutorials with trained staff, we also offer comprehensive evaluations by a licensed psychologist who has extensive experience with students with Aspergers Syndrome.  Our assessment clinic, ASAP, routinely provides diagnostic evaluations for families, second opinions assessments, reviews of previous evaluations, and consultation on school-based evaluations in order to assist parent in making the best decisions for their child's education.

If our skills and focus sound like what you and your child need please contact us to discuss arranging for an initial consultation.
